PRESIDENT ROXIE KAMOSHIDA

VICE PRESIDENT JANNAH DELA CRUZ
Bio: I am Jannah Lyn Dela Cruz, serving as your ASUH Vice President for the 2016-2017 SY. I'm a Junior pursuing a Bachelor's in Environmental Design (aka Architecture) and I love being involved in service and leadership. I am active in the Golden Key International Honour Society doing fun service projects, and the New Student Orientation Program, mentoring new students and summer leaders. ASUH is a huge priority to me. I’ve been active on the Senate since my freshmen year, through the committees I served on: Internal Affairs, Campus Life, External Affairs, and most heavily on Undergraduate Academic Affairs. While being on these committees, I focused a lot on enhancing ASUH advertising for events and workshops, providing more academic opportunities such as our new ASUH Study Abroad Scholarship, and guiding senators to put up workshops likes Research Proposal and Resume Building. My personal goal on ASUH this year is to help senators achieve their goals on senate, help them with their leadership development, support our committees whenever needed, and to increase student engagement and awareness of/with ASUH. During my free time, I like to spend time with friends: going on adventures, hiking, eating, and playing tennis. Lastly, I like puns and my favorite thing in the world is the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
Fun fact: I have a twin sister (in Nebraska!) #sugarcanefieldstocornfields

SECRETARY SCOTT NISHIHARA
Major(s): Electrical Engineering
Bio: Hello, my name is Scott Nishihara and I am the Secretary of the 104th Senate of the Associated Students at the University of Hawaii. I first joined the senate two years ago because I felt that the University of Hawaii was a great school and I wanted to do what I could to help other students appreciate their time at the UH Manoa. I stayed in the senate for another year because I enjoyed getting to interact with students and know their stories through different events that ASUH hosted. Also, after my first year in the Senate, I learned of many different resources readily available to students, such as ASUH Scholarships and funding for student organizations, but students were just not aware of them. I wanted to help increase awareness of these great resources that can make someone’s experience at UH a memorable and worthwhile one.
Fun fact: I like to play ping pong and tennis.
SENATOR AT LARGE SIERRA CALLIHAN
Hometown: Aiea, HI
Major(s): Political Science, English
Bio: Aloha! My name is Sierra Callihan and I currently serve as Senator at Large. For the past 21 years, I've had the privilege of calling Hawaii my home and am ecstatic to be attending UH Manoa, the flagship campus of the islands. Being that I am a first generation college student with little funds, I am fortunate to be attending college and am passionate about access to education. I channel this into advocating for multiple issues related to academic and social conditions at UHM, such as opposing tuition increases and maintaining substantial services on campus. I will be graduating in this Fall 2016, and hope to especially work towards the preceding goals during my last semester at UH Manoa. When I am not concentrating on ASUH, work, or school related tasks, I enjoy spending time with my rabbits and family, and having nights out with friends, which usually involve too much food and more than enough laughter. I am also a dedicated member of the Democratic Party and President of District 33-1 which, yes, means that most of my extra free time is spent on politics (or Bernie Sanders). I am excited for the upcoming year and hope to meet & chat with as many constituents as possible! Thank you and Go Bows!
Fun fact: I love rabbits and food so much, I named my three rabbits after foods lol
